Peterson Regional Medical Center's ongoing battle against COVID-19 took another step in the wrong direction on Friday, with a second consecutive record for virus-related admissions.
The Kerrville hospital reported COVID-19 hospitalizations of 39, surpassing its record of 38 on Thursday, and just one person was vaccinated. The latest data suggests that 40% of the hospital's admissions are COVID-19 patients. There were 21 new cases reported — none vaccinated.
COVID-19 hospitalized a minimum of 59 people in August.
This is a developing story.
