Learn fundamental rifle marksmanship techniques in a fun, family-friendly environment. Whether you're an experienced shooter or new to the world of shooting sports, Project Appleseed has something for everyone. In addition to marksmanship training, you'll hear amazing stories about the earliest days of the American Revolution during breaks from the range. Range fees for this event are $10 per day. Please try to arrive by 8 a.m. for check-in so that the event can begin on time. Lunch will take place on-site, so please plan on bringing lunch, water, etc.

Benefit for Kayla's Family

On the evening of July 24, an alleged drunk driver forever changed a family on Fredericksburg Road. Police said a suspected drunk driver hit the Maughan family head-on. Kayla Maughan, the mother of the two children in the vehicle, died at the scene. Josh Maughan, Kayla's husband and father of the two children, was the driver of their car suffered severe injuries that have required many surgeries and continued care, including physical therapy. Kaly Maughan, 3, suffered two broken legs, requiring multiple surgeries. Landon Maughan, 2, only physically suffered minor scratches. Kayla Maughan's mother, Beverly, cares for the children. The benefit offers food, auction items, raffles, a cornhole tournament, and live music, with all proceeds going to the family.

The nonprofit Hill Country Gala, Inc., was created to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The organization's board voted to expand to include local veteran nonprofits, and the event will be a new and exciting format. The banquet will be a fun and entertaining event that consists of a formal dinner, program, live performance by Pat Green, dance, wine and bourbon pull. Attendance is limited to 700-900. Destination Cycle & Lost Souls have partnered to produce its first car and bike show. The event is Benefitting the Kerrville Lion's Club "Toys for Hill Country Tots"! Bike/Car Participant Fee: $25 or $20 with a new, unopened toy donation! This is a free spectator event. Awards will be given out to the top cars and bikes.
