Photographer Tony Gallucci captured the crash as it happened

The longtime photographer was about 100 yards from the scene

Ingram photographer Tony Gallucci, a staple at many community events, was at the Race Wars 2 for its entirety, and captured the crash the led to the deaths of two children and the serious injuries of four others.

Here's his breakdown of the crash.

The car involved in the crash was driven by a 34-year-old man who was seriously injured. The front of the car says "Section Eight" and the license plate says "Assman."

This photo provides perspective on how close the drivers were to the spectators. A Ford Mustang from the 1980s is about 14 feet long. Spectators are estimated 30 to 35 feet from the finish line.
