Sheriff, animal control on the lookout for missing dog

The Jack Russell escaped en route to the animal shelter.

Kerr County Animal Services, Kerr County Sheriff's Office and Kerrville Pets Alive are searching for a lost dog that went missing en route to the animal shelter.

The Kerr County Sheriff's Office posted a picture on its Facebook page Friday morning, but the dog, a Jack Russell terrier, has been missing since early Thursday morning.

The dog was in the custody of KCAS before it went missing from a portable kennel somewhere along Thompson Drive in Kerrville. The sheriff's office said if the dog is found to contact the animal control office at 257-3100 or Kerr county sheriff's office at 896-1216.
