Schreiner University salvaged a weekend split at Stephens Family Arena, rebounding from a Friday loss to conference-leading St. Thomas with a convincing 88-68 victory over Colorado College on Sunday.

The Mountaineers endured a difficult night against the Celts on Friday, falling 73-59 to the SCAC Gold Division leaders. St. Thomas controlled the game from the opening tip, building a 35-23 halftime advantage and never allowing Schreiner to mount a serious challenge. Corey Thompson and Angel Johnson each scored 16 points to pace the Celts, while Charles Gitonga dominated the interior with 11 points and 15 rebounds.
