Cameron Armer led the offensive surge with two goals in the first half. The senior forward from London opened the scoring in the 8th minute with an assist from Brayan Plascencia, then doubled the lead in the 26th minute with another assist from Plascencia.

Schreiner continued to press in the second half, adding two more goals to put the match away. Diego Ruiz found the back of the net in the 46th minute off an assist from Armer, extending the lead to 3-0. Gabe Zagastizabal capped the scoring in the 53rd minute with an assist from Travis Matthews.

Goalkeeper Houston Schuman earned his first victory of the season, making one save to secure the clean sheet. The Mountaineers’ defensive effort was particularly impressive, holding Centenary (3-4-2, 1-1-0) to minimal offensive opportunities throughout the contest.

Plascencia’s two assists paced the Mountaineers’ balanced attack, while the team’s 10 shots represented one of their stronger offensive performances of the season. The victory marked Schreiner’s first win since defeating Howard Payne 3-1 on September 11.

The dominant performance provided a much-needed confidence boost for the Mountaineers as they continue Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. Schreiner will look to build on this momentum when they host LeTourneau on Friday at 7 p.m.
