Jerry received his education at Warren Harding High School, Bridgeport and Post College in Waterbury.

In 1965, Jerry married the love of his life, Maryann Beno, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Together they shared more than 61 years of marriage and companionship, building a life centered on family, love, and lasting memories traveling all over.

Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Maryann (Beno) Jedow; his children, Mark Jedow of Texas, James Jedow and his partner, Maria Ramos of Massachusetts, and Allyson (Jedow) Gould and her husband, Spencer of Kentucky; and his five beloved grandchildren: Benjamin, Nathan, Carey, Emma, and Keith.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard. During his military service, he had the opportunity to extensively travel throughout Europe. Following his military career, Jerry built a successful professional career as a materials manager for several respected beauty, aerospace, manufacturing and toy/micro-chip companies. One of his most memorable professional experiences was working as a buyer for a Uniroyal Agricultural subsidiary in Liberia, West Africa in the 1980’s.

Jerry will be remembered for his quick wit, warm sense of humor, and participating in company sponsored golf and softball leagues which he enjoyed. As an accomplished bowler, he achieved several perfect 300 games during his career and competed on the Senior Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour in 1999. Whether bowling in Danbury, Brookfield and Waterbury Connecticut, or later in Concord, New Hampshire and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, bowling brought him great joy. Other interests included supporting his favorite AHL, NHL teams, professional soccer and collegiate sports teams. Yet above all, Jerry always made time to be present for his children and grandchildren’s activities and milestones, which meant the most to him.

Jerry’s legacy of love, laughter, service, and dedication to his family will be cherished by all who knew him.
