Jeffrey Conrad: Dec. 31, 1943-Feb. 1, 2026

Those who knew him will remember Jeffrey as a kind, gentle, and thoughtful man. He especially treasured time spent with his grandchildren, who brought him his greatest joy.

Jeffrey V. Conrad of Kerrville, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, surrounded by family. Kerrville was always his home – a place he remained deeply connected to throughout his life and where he was known and respected by many.

Jeffrey was born on December 31, 1943, in East Orange, New Jersey, to Victor Leopold Conrad and Evelyn Jean Dunn. He attended Madison High School in Madison, New Jersey, and later followed his lifelong passion for aviation by graduating from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Jeffrey enjoyed a long and accomplished career in aviation and was a licensed pilot. He proudly served his country, first in the National Guard for four years and then in the Reserves for seven additional years. His dedication and steady character were evident in all aspects of his life.

Beyond aviation, Jeffrey was also a longtime downtown Kerrville business and property owner, contributing to the community he loved so much.

Those who knew him will remember Jeffrey as a kind, gentle, and thoughtful man. He especially treasured time spent with his grandchildren, who brought him his greatest joy.

Jeffrey is survived by his beloved wife, Nursel Conrad; his eldest daughter, Lisa McGehee, and her husband, Rod McGehee; his youngest daughter, Laura S. Fore, and her husband, Micah Fore; his grandchildren, Liam McGehee, Livia Fore, and Vivian Fore; and his brother, Bruce Conrad.

A service to honor and celebrate Jeffrey’s life will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, Texas.

Amestoy’s great-grandparents settled in San Antonio, Texas, drawn by the city’s connections to Mexico and the region’s German communities.
