Kerrville Independent School District will launch a new Gold Card program for the 2025-2026 school year that offers discounted entry to all district athletics and fine arts events.
The electronic discount card targets three specific groups: residents 65 and older, veterans and active military personnel, and retired KISD staff members.

“The Gold Card represents a one-time purchase for the year,” according to district materials. The program covers both athletics and fine arts events, including football games, band concerts and theater productions.
The district will partner with Hometown Tickets to manage the Gold Card sales and distribution system. Purchasers must verify their eligibility during the buying process, which mirrors the district’s existing online ticket sales platform.
The program aims to increase community engagement with student activities while honoring seniors, military service members and former district employees.
District officials plan to communicate and advertise the program to reach eligible community members before the 2025-2026 school year begins.
The Gold Card initiative represents the district’s effort to make school events more accessible to key community stakeholders while supporting student athletics and fine arts programs.
