Kerrville Scooter’s Coffee owners, manager earn honors at franchise conference

Shaughnessy and Andrew Davis, who own the local drive-thru coffee franchise, were named Small Unit Franchisee of the Year — the highest honor given to franchise owners operating five or fewer locations.

The owners and store manager of Kerrville’s Scooter’s Coffee location took home two of the company’s top awards last week at the 2026 Scooter’s Coffee Conference in Omaha, Neb.

Shaughnessy and Andrew Davis, who own the local drive-thru coffee franchise, were named Small Unit Franchisee of the Year — the highest honor given to franchise owners operating five or fewer locations. Store Manager Michael Martinez was separately recognized as Store Manager of the Year, making the Kerrville location one of the rare stores to claim both awards in the same year.

The Kerrville location has ranked among the top-performing Scooter’s Coffee stores in Texas for two consecutive years, earning high marks in business, operational and customer service metrics. The store also serves as a training site for new managers at other Scooter’s Coffee locations.

Community involvement factored into the recognition as well. After the July 4, 2025, Guadalupe River flood killed 119 people in Kerr County, Martinez was distributing bottled water, food and supplies within hours of the disaster. The store continued providing community aid for more than two weeks following the flood.

The awards were presented at the company’s annual conference, which drew approximately 1,500 franchise owners, managers, corporate staff and vendors. Scooter’s Coffee operates more than 900 locations across 32 states, including 75 in Texas.
