Sarah is survived by her husband of forty years, Steven Blizzard; son, Joe Nagy (Julie); daughter, Katherine Mandy (Dave); granddaughters, Stephenie Cantu (Marc), Renee Colandrea (Enzo), Mariah Mandy, Tiffenee Freeman (Michael), Sarah Johnson (Rody), and Emily Thawley (Tanner); great- grandchildren, Remi and Shelton Cantu, Gabriella Colandrea, and Maddox Johnson; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and many special cousins, especially Jeremiah Abruzzino, who lovingly opened his home for every return visit to Fairmont and graciously coordinated gatherings with cousins and her lifelong friend, Shirley.

Sarah was preceded in death by her mother, grandparents, husband of sixteen years, James Nagy, and many dear aunts and uncles whom she lovingly considered siblings.

To some, she was Sandy or Sarah, to others she was Sandra, but her most cherished names were Mom, Grandma, and Gigi. Family was her passion. She adored children and even lovingly cared for her great-grandchildren, Remi and Shelton, well into her seventies.

She enjoyed traveling abroad, especially to the beach and back home to Fairmont, cooking, and baking. Her signature comfort foods to prepare were pepperoni rolls, chocolate chip cookies, Texas sheet cake, and spaghetti and meatballs. She was also a competitive opponent in Scrabble and card games. She enjoyed movies and popcorn and loved the Anne of Green Gables’ movies and watched them annually with her granddaughters. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, puzzling, and sewing as well as dancing and listening to oldies music. “You are My Sunshine” was her favorite song to sing to her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren if she wasn’t singing “Take Me Home Country Roads.”
