Schreiner University launches weekly sports show with former NBA broadcaster
Davis, the voice of Mountaineer Athletics, retired after nearly 30 years as a play-by-play broadcaster for the Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks. He will host the program highlighting Schreiner University’s football program and other athletic teams.
Schreiner University will launch the Mountaineer Coaches Show on Wednesday, a weekly sports program featuring former NBA broadcaster Ted Davis.
The live show will air Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m. through November at Ringo’s on the River in downtown Kerrville. The restaurant will offer a $1 wing special during each broadcast.
Davis, the voice of Mountaineer Athletics, retired after nearly 30 years as a play-by-play broadcaster for the Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks. He will host the program highlighting Schreiner University’s football program and other athletic teams.
Each week will feature game recaps and previews with Head Football Coach Keith Allen, guest appearances from Mountaineer players and coaching staff, insights into other Schreiner athletic programs, and fan interaction from the crowd at Ringo’s.
Viewers can attend in person at Ringo’s on the River, 1421 Junction Highway, or watch online through Schreiner University’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. The Kerr County Lead’s Facebook page will simulcast the show.
Schreiner University, founded in 1923, is a private Presbyterian institution in Kerrville. The university emphasizes personalized education and offers diverse academic programs in the Texas Hill Country.
