“Beyond his impressive resume, Shane is a man of exceptional character,” Allen said. “He deeply cares about developing people, both as players and as individuals. His passion for football is only matched by his passion for building strong relationships.”

Before his tenure at Klein, Hallmark led Fort Bend Hightower High School to a state finalist appearance and compiled a 24-2 record over two seasons. His coaching career began as a student assistant at Purdue University.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to build something special at Schreiner University,” Hallmark said. “This is a program with a strong vision, set in a supportive and thriving community.”

As defensive coordinator, Hallmark plans to emphasize fundamentals, intensity and resilience. He aims to instill accountability, effort and respect throughout the program.

“Football is more than just a game—it teaches valuable life lessons about perseverance, teamwork, and leadership,” Hallmark said. “I want our players to leave this program prepared to succeed as athletes, students, and future leaders.”

Hallmark and his wife, Denise, have twin sons, Jimmy and John. The family will relocate to Kerrville as Hallmark begins his new role with the Mountaineers.
