Saturday’s highlights include a cosplay costume contest at 11 a.m. Gaming tournaments run throughout the weekend, including a Smash Brothers tournament sponsored by HCTC and a Call of Duty tournament sponsored by the Kerr County Veteran Service Office. A Table Top Arena, sponsored by Heart of the Cards Kerrville, will offer dedicated space for board games and card enthusiasts.

An escape room, back by popular demand, runs on a first-come, first-served basis throughout both days — Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

What began in May 2017 as a single-day campus event has grown into a regional fixture. Early editions featured horror film screenings and Star Wars-themed escape rooms. PopCon is organized by Schreiner’s Student Activities Board.
