Between Monday and Sunday, residents can choose from wildflower walks, wheel-throwing, wine socials, a veterans benefits fair, a Schreiner football home opener, and a folk festival with a headline act — often several in a single evening.
But the festival is far from the only thing going. Summer programming is kicking into gear across town — art camps at the Color of Clay, MOWA, HCAF and KACC are opening registration, and Schreiner University's slate of tennis, robotics and volleyball camps starts filling up next week.
The week's most prominent community gathering may be Thursday's Soup's On! dinner at Dietert Center, a soup supper and silent auction benefiting Meals on Wheels. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets and online auction bidding are available at dietertcenter.org.
Trailhead Beer Garden hosts Pot O'Hot on Saturday from noon to 8 p.m., bringing together hot soup, cold beer and live music.
The library hosts multiple events throughout the week, including "Blind Date with a Book" from Tuesday through Friday, Story Time on Wednesday at 10 a.m., and various book clubs.
The week begins Monday with a screening of "Voices of Doyle" at 6 p.m. at the Doyle Community Center.
From early morning coffee gatherings to evening performances, Kerr County residents have dozens of opportunities this week to connect with neighbors, explore nature and enjoy local entertainment.
Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Oct. 10. Members can purchase tickets beginning 10 a.m. Oct. 8.
