The 2025 KPUB Christmas Lights Tour is coming soon, sponsor an awards category

The Christmas Lights Tour is among our most popular features each year, and attracts thousands of social media views

We’re back for our fifth year of our Christmas Lights Tour. Starting the weekend after Thanksgiving, we journey across Kerr County in search of the best Christmas Lights displays, and we’re rarely disappointed. Once again, we’ll present our awards and you can help us by sponsoring a category. The Christmas Lights Tour is among our most popular features each year, and attracts thousands of social media views. Each night, we post our photos and select the best ones in the relevant categories. Starting Dec. 18, we will begin the voting process of each of the categories and we will name the winners on Dec. 22 on The Lead Live. Your logo will appear in our social media posts for each respective category and on The Lead Live. Each category sponsorship is $125.

  • Overall Grand Champion presented by KPUB
  • Best Business sponsored by the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce
  • Best Use of Architecture sponsored by SLS Partnership

Growing up in Southern California, Louis Amestoy remained connected to Texas as the birthplace of his father and grandfather. Texas was always a presence in the family’s life. Amestoy’s great-grandparents settled in San Antonio, Texas, drawn by the city’s connections to Mexico and the region’s German communities. In 2019, Louis Amestoy saw an opportunity to make a home in Texas. After 30 years of working for corporate media chains, Louis Amestoy saw a chance to establish an independent voice in the Texas Hill Country. He launched The Lead to be that vehicle. With investment from Meta, Amestoy began independently publishing on Aug. 9, 2021. The Amestoys have called Kerrville home since 2019.
