We take comfort in knowing that they are now at peace and are reunited with loved ones who have gone before them. Their memory will forever be a source of strength and inspiration to us all.
Jake, Megan and Harley Moeller
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved family members who tragically lost their lives in the July 4 Kerrville flood. The love, kindness, and resilience they exuded will be deeply missed by all who knew them.
Jake (38), Megan (33), and Harley (6) Moeller, cherished members of our family and the New Braunfels community were taken from us far too soon. They were known for their unwavering faith in Christ, boundless generosity, and the joy they brought to those whose lives they touched. Their legacy will live on in the hearts of friends and family who are still struggling to cope with their sudden parting.
We take comfort in knowing that they are now at peace and are reunited with loved ones who have gone before them. Their memory will forever be a source of strength and inspiration to us all.
A celebration of life, which includes a celebration of Megan’s parents, Gary and DeeAnn Knetsch, will be held on August 3 at Freiheit Country Store beginning at 11am. We will be sharing our memories and comforting one another through our faith in Christ while honoring our family members and the indelible mark they left on our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to those organizations continuing the search and recovery of those still missing.
Gary and DeeAnn Knetsch
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved family members, Gary (60) and DeeAnn (66) Knetsch, who were swept away on July 4th into the arms of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ during the tragic flood in Kerrville.
Gary and DeeAnn were deeply loved by their family and friends and will forever hold a place in our hearts.
Family was at the core of who they were. The Knetsches’ generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need were known by all who met them. Their kindness, warmth, and sense of adventure will live on in each of us who were blessed to love them.
We find comfort in knowing they were welcomed into heaven by those who went before them and that one day, their loving arms will welcome us home as well.
While their sudden passing leaves us with immense sorrow, we find peace in knowing they are reunited with their daughter Megan, granddaughter Harley, and son-in-law Jake, who journeyed alongside them to their final place of rest.
Gary and DeeAnn, affectionately known as Papa and DeeDee, will continue watching over their loved ones, doing what they did best: reminding us to live fully, love deeply, and lean on one another during times of grief. This is not goodbye, but a heartfelt “see you later.”
A celebration of life honoring Gary, DeeAnn, Megan, Harley, and Jake will be held on August 3rd at Freiheit Country Store, beginning at 11:00 AM. We will pray, share memories, and comfort one another just as Gary and DeeAnn would have wanted us to.
