City, county closed on Monday for Columbus Day holiday

Emergency services including law enforcement, fire departments and EMS will continue normal operations. Flood debris removal and search efforts for two missing flood victims will also continue.

City of Kerrville and Kerr County offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 13, for Columbus Day.

The closure includes Kerrville municipal offices, the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library and the city secretary’s office. County offices at the Kerr County Courthouse, 700 Main St.; the Allie Burton Annex, 550 Earl Garrett St.; and the West Kerr County Courthouse Annex, 510 College St. in Ingram, will also be closed.

City parks and the Parks and Recreation office at Kerrville-Schreiner Park will remain open.

The Kerr County Commissioners Court will meet Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 9 a.m. instead of its regular Monday schedule.

Normal business hours resume Tuesday, Oct. 14. City residents needing assistance Monday can email City Secretary Shelley McElhannon at shelley.mcelhannon@kerrvilletx.gov. County office hours are available at kerrcountytx.gov.
