A new downtown arts festival for Kerrville? Yes, please!
A four-day plein air painting competition featuring 50 artists from across the country serves as one of the festival’s main attractions. The competition culminates Oct. 25 when the public can view the freshly completed works at the Kerr Arts & Cultural Center.
The inaugural Water Street Festival will transform downtown Kerrville into a celebration of art, music, heritage and local culture on Oct. 25, 2025.
The festival aims to revitalize the historic Main Street district through a community-focused event that extends beyond traditional street fair offerings.
“The Water Street Festival is more than a street fair — it’s a downtown block party celebrating Kerrville’s cultural heartbeat,” said event chair Delayne Sigerman. “It connects local business, artists, neighbors and families for a shared experience of community pride.”
Organizers have designed the festival to create a walkable, all-ages experience throughout the downtown area. Local businesses will expand their storefronts into the streets, creating pop-up shops alongside music performances, children’s activities and open-air food and drink tastings.

“Lending a hand or sponsoring is a great way to support and be part of something meaningful,” said Lanza Teague, executive director for Kerr Arts & Cultural Center and festival committee member.
Water Street Antiques will headline as the 2025 sponsor. Festival organizers currently seek volunteers, particularly for the children’s parade and activities.
