Kellyanne Lytal: May 25, 2017-July 4, 2025

Kellyanne brought sparkle and joy into every space she entered with a sweet presence that was vibrant, unforgettable, and deeply cherished. She was the perfect combination of beauty and athleticism; cautious yet carefree; serious but wildly fun-loving with an unshakeable spirit.

It is with broken hearts, yet everlasting love that we celebrate the life of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and loyal friend, Kellyanne Elizabeth Lytal, who left our lives far too soon on Friday, July 4, 2025, in the devastating Kerr County floods, while experiencing her first year as a camper at Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas.

Kellyanne was born in Houston, Texas on May 25, 2017, and baptized at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. At the age of three, she moved to the wonderful Alamo Heights community in San Antonio, Texas. Kellyanne completed her preschool years at St. David’s Episcopal School. She graduated to the Alamo Heights School District where she attended Kindergarten at Howard Early Childhood Center and just completed Second Grade at Cambridge Elementary. She had become a spirited “Mule” fan and had big dreams of being an Alamo Heights cheerleader. Kellyanne aspired to attend The University of Texas at Austin and become initiated into the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority just like her mom, aunt, and grandmother. She loved school, enjoyed learning, respected her teachers, and adored all her sweet friends. She had a curious mind, quick wit and excelled with every learning opportunity, being awarded as a Mighty Mule and honored as a recipient of the Cambridge PTO Excellence Award.

Kellyanne brought sparkle and joy into every space she entered with a sweet presence that was vibrant, unforgettable, and deeply cherished. She was the perfect combination of beauty and athleticism; cautious yet carefree; serious but wildly fun-loving with an unshakeable spirit.

She was active in her community being a proud Girl Scout member for Troop 5116. Kellyanne spent countless hours exploring new adventures and giving back to multiple charitable causes to make the world a better place. She was a true leader and friend to everyone she met. Her passion and kindness showed daily by helping others.

Some of Kellyanne’s favorite sporting activities included rollerblading, snow skiing, softball, soccer, cheerleading, and gymnastics. But give her some music, a microphone, and a chance to perform… and the dance party was on! Of course, her beloved little sister, Emmalynn, was quick to join the fun, along with all her cousins and friends. She had a way of drawing everyone in with her radiant smile, charismatic personality, and voice of an angel.

Kellyanne also had a flair for creative fashion and a passion for sewing, makeup, and skincare. She was rarely seen without her platform heels, a bit of lipstick, and a cute purse in hand. We will never forget the sound of her sashaying down the stairs in her heels and dazzling dress, gazing at us for our approval. She was stunningly beautiful in our eyes.

She adored Taylor Swift, the color blue, anything that sparkled, and Christmas magic, especially when her beloved Elf on the Shelf “Jolly” made an appearance. No day was ever complete without dessert. She loved all types of candy and sweets, chips and queso, and a Shirley Temple with lots of cherries. But in the busiest of times, we all know that her favorite moments were the simple ones… snuggling and shopping with her Mom, playing competitive sports with her Dad, and being playful and silly with her spunky little sister.

Most importantly, Kellyanne loved Jesus deeply with her whole heart. She enjoyed singing Christian songs, reading Bible stories, attending Sunday School, and saying her prayers daily. She was our precious angel… tender, joyful, kind, compassionate, funny, respectful, and wise beyond her years.

To God be the glory for Kellyanne, the cherished memories and great things she was able to accomplish in the short eight years of her beautiful, treasured life. We thank our Heavenly Father, Lord and Savior for sharing her with us. We will remember her forever and ever, and her shining light will remain in our hearts till we are reunited.

Kellyanne is the treasured daughter of Malorie Liljenwall Lytal and James Wade Lytal, and a fiercely faithful big sister to Emmalynn Grace Lytal. She is adored by her grandparents: Laurie and Paul Tyler, Mary Beth and James Lytal, and Becky Liljenwall, and deeply loved by a wide circle of extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Erik Liljenwall II. Lauren and Landon Ludwick, her Godparents, maintained a steadfast devotion throughout her young life.

Our family would like to extend our deep appreciation to the Search and Rescue teams, Local and National authorities, and the Austin, Boerne, Houston, Ingram, Kerrville, and San Antonio communities. It is with our heartfelt gratitude that we thank our family and friends for their outpouring love, compassion, and care throughout this devastating tragedy.

A celebration of Kellyanne’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11:00 am at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church, 825 E. Basse Road in San Antonio, Texas. A reception will follow from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at San Antonio Country Club, where we will honor her beautiful life with a “Sweet Farewell”, just as she would have wanted.

In her memory, we ask that you carry her spirit forward with kindness, joy, and a little sparkle. In lieu of flowers or other remembrances, the family invites you to honor Kellyanne through a gift to the Kellyanne Elizabeth Lytal Memorial Foundation. This Foundation was established with the goal of spreading kindness in the world and supporting charitable causes that were near and dear to Kellyanne’s beautiful heart.
