Learn how you can support the 2025-2026 Golden Girls team

For these young dancers, community support means more than just financial assistance—it represents recognition of their dedication, talent, and service to the Kerrville community.

In the heart of Kerrville, Texas, the Tivy Golden Girls drill team has kicked off their 2025-2026 Bootbacker Fundraiser, a vital initiative to support a program that showcases both artistic excellence and community service.

The award-winning drill team, comprised of both the Varsity Golden Girls and Junior Varsity Sapphires, operates under the direction of Mrs. Katie Nichol-Owens. Unlike some other school activities that receive substantial institutional funding, these 50 dancers rely heavily on community support to sustain their program.

“The Golden Girls utilize their Bootbacker Fundraiser to help keep costs down for their growing program,” explains team director Katie Nichol-Owens. “These young women not only practice countless hours perfecting their performances but also pride themselves on giving back through various service projects as part of their Golden Girls Commitment.”

The fundraiser offers several sponsorship tiers, ranging from the $2,500 Elite Gold level to the $250 Crowd Pleaser option, with each providing different recognition benefits including social media spotlights, logos on event t-shirts, and appearances on the team’s sponsor banner. There’s also a “Spirit Sponsor” option allowing for individual donations of any amount to support specific team members.

As representatives of Tivy High School, the dancers maintain their commitment to TFND (Tradition, Family, Never quit, Discipline) pride while serving as both athletic and academic ambassadors at school events, performances, and community celebrations.

The fundraiser runs from April 2025 through March 2026, with Elite Gold and Grand Champion sponsors needing to submit forms and donations by April 16th to secure their exclusive photo opportunity with the team. All other sponsorship forms are due by April 25th.

For these young dancers, community support means more than just financial assistance—it represents recognition of their dedication, talent, and service to the Kerrville community.
