Los Angeles-based company helping raise money for flood relief
“So many of our best customers and biggest fans live in Texas, and we’ve heard tragic stories, including from family friends of the youngest victims, that just broke our hearts,” said Kfir Gavrieli, CEO and founder of Tieks.
Luxury ballet flat company Tieks announced the launch of “Tieks for Texas,” a campaign offering $50 gift cards to individuals who donate $25 or more to nonprofit organizations supporting Central Texas flood recovery efforts.
The Los Angeles-based company said the campaign raised over $30,000 in its first 48 hours for flood victims and relief efforts.
“So many of our best customers and biggest fans live in Texas, and we’ve heard tragic stories, including from family friends of the youngest victims, that just broke our hearts,” said Kfir Gavrieli, CEO and founder of Tieks.
The company is also donating 100% of net proceeds from its Clover Green flats to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund through July 20. The initiative allows customers to support recovery efforts through purchases of the signature style.
Tieks encourages customers to donate to charities of their choice or consult Charity Navigator and local news sources for lists of reputable organizations responding to the crisis. The flooding has killed 106 people in Kerr County, with more than 160 still missing.
The campaign continues Tieks’ philanthropic efforts, which have raised over $500,000 in recent years for causes including Los Angeles fire victims, Ukraine relief and fighting antisemitism.
