Playhouse 2000’s “Fiddler on the Roof” opens to standing ovations

Playhouse 2000, Kerrville’s community theater, opened its run of “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Cailloux Theater last weekend to standing ovations, with six performances remaining between July 31 and Aug. 9.
Opening weekend audiences praised the cast, live orchestra, and scenic and costume designs. The show’s “bottle dance” is performed by Annabelle Burzynski, Nora Hughes, GlannAlise Saunier and Alexandra Webb. River Wellborn and Robert Gonzalez star as Tzeitel and Motel, Lilyann Cox and Brad Gilbert as Hodel and Perchik, and Jane Sansom-Brown and Jeffrey Brown as Golde and Tevye, alongside a 35-member volunteer ensemble.
