Richard Westly Lemon: Dec. 26, 1947-Jan. 8, 2026

Richard Westly Lemon, 78, on Jan 8, 2026, made his transition into the presence of God’s Heaven. His walk, talk, and deep Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are based on his belief in the Salvation message that the only way for a person to enter Heaven is to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

Born to David and Lula Lemon id for mankind is steeped in his Christian faith.  Raised in the Church and coming from a long line of Music people, the Lemons, the Gordys and others were just the beginning of a glorious experience. Using   his God given powerful gifts Richard was able to travel to over 17 countries with his wife, Lorraine, reaching people for Christ and bringing Joy to all,  His accomplishments of building a recording studio and releasing 4 Recordings, being a part and managing five Musical groups, Richard s gifts surpassed the average taking “one Note” and creating a Composition “ ask any Musician that played with him

Born to David and Lula Lemon He leaves behind his Wife Lorraine of 46 years, his brothers and Sisters Howard, Patricia, David, Debra and Darlene. His five children are Kelley, Nakema, Tanelly, Lequan, and Kenya.  His Grandchildren: Jalah, Bryon, Joshua, Jason, Jada, Brailyn, Megan, Quelan, Laiquan( preceded in death), Anthony, Ada, Lequan Jr, Aaron, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and of course his Band “the Boyeez”; Ramiro, Dale, Urbano, John James, Johnel and of course Bill Baker that help keep it all together in Richard’s trying times.

A retiree from the Wyne County. His work and service in Churches, community events, prisons, Children’s homes, and assisting his wife, Lorraine, in the non-profit Art 2heart and Radio. Building a Recording Studio called Lemonsuite he produced many recordings all the while giving those who were getting started an opportunity to Record.  His love for good Food, making people laugh and being the Spark in the room will never be forgotten.

It is my belief that EVERY human being comes to the planet specifically designed for his or her Time…and comes packaged with the Gifts God gives them to get the job done…Richard not only brought the Gift of MUSIC… he spilled it on others. Scripture says, “your Gift will make room for you and set you before Kings’’’…and it did.  His Legacy will live on because the Life you Lead is the true Legacy you Leave…Richard will be truly missed.
