Man wanted on assault charge armed and dangerous, Kerr County sheriff’s office says
A witness told authorities Cox was armed with at least one firearm and was wearing a ballistic vest and a gun belt loaded with multiple magazines. He was last seen wearing white basketball shorts.
The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man suspected of assaulting a juvenile at a local RV resort late Thursday and fleeing on foot while armed, authorities said.
Deputies responded shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday to the 2800 block of Goat Creek Road after reports of an assault. Upon arrival, deputies determined David Bryan Cox Jr., 44, had assaulted a juvenile at the residence before fleeing the scene.

Kerrville EMS treated the juvenile at the scene. Investigators from the sheriff’s office Special Operations Division and Criminal Investigations Division responded to assist with a search of the area. Cox had not been located as of the time of publication.
A warrant for assault by strangulation was issued by Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace J.R. Hoyne.
Cox has known connections to Mountain Home and Harper.
