Corrina Marie Huff: Jan. 14, 1962-July 17, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Corrina Marie Huff, who left this earthly life on July 17, 2026, and is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.

Born on January 14, 1962, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Corrina spent her childhood there before moving to Fredericksburg, Texas, with her family in 1978. There, she met her first husband, Thomas Joyave, in 1979. Together they welcomed their daughter, Deanna, in 1982 before marrying in 1983. A few years later, Corrina made Kerrville her home, where she met Bob Shuttleworth in 1988. They married in 1992 and were blessed with their daughter, Nicole, in 1995. Kerrville remained the place she called home, where she built a life filled with family, cherished friendships, and a community she loved.

Corrina was known by so many throughout the community. She spent much of her life working as a waitress and bartender, where her warm smile, contagious laugh, and genuine kindness made everyone feel like more than just a customer. She later worked at several convenience stores, including Mini Mart and Neu Mart in Center Point, where she continued building friendships with the countless people whose lives she touched. Later, Corrina began a career with James Avery, where she planned to spend the rest of her working years until a breast cancer diagnosis changed everything. When her health allowed, she returned to work as the manager of River Road Cabins in Center Point, continuing to serve others with the same dedication, compassion, and heart that defined her throughout her life.

Corrina was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016. Through incredible strength and determination, she fought her way into remission, where she remained for five years. In 2021 the cancer metastasized to her lungs, progressing to Stage IV, she once again faced the fight with remarkable courage and resilience. Despite every setback, she never allowed her illness to define who she was. Even in her hardest moments, Corrina’s smile could light up a room, her laughter was contagious, and she never lost the hope that carried her through life’s hardest days. Her courage, resilience, and unwavering spirit inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Above all else, Corrina’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Deanna and Nicole, and a proud Nana to Megan, Preston, Kyle, and EmmaGene. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent loving, encouraging, and making memories with them. We will always and forever be her #1 fan!

Corrina is survived by her daughters and grandchildren; her beloved siblings, Marian Campbell, Perry Huff, and Walter “Kenny” Huff Jr.; and many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. As the oldest sibling, she naturally took on the role of protector. She loved each of her siblings deeply and never stopped looking out for them, carrying them in her heart no matter how old they became.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Kenneth Huff Sr., and her mother, Linda Faye Heckard, whose love helped shape the compassionate woman Corrina became. We find comfort in imagining the beautiful reunion as they welcomed their daughter home with open arms.

Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing she is finally home—free from pain, reunited with her mother and father, and embraced by the everlasting love of the Lord. Though we will miss her every day, we know this is not goodbye, but simply, “until we meet again.”

The love Corrina shared will live on through every life she touched with her kindness, every heart she encouraged with her strength, every smile she shared, and every act of love she so freely gave. She taught us that true beauty is found not only in how we live, but in how we love others.
