She was an astute businesswoman with many interests. From a young age her passion was dancing. She was in a ballet company in her teens and a dance instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Center.
Sandra Dari Gonzales Albertsen, age 78, died July 23, 2026 peacefully in her Hill Country flower garden in Ingram, TX.
Sandra was born in San Antonio, TX on December 12, 1948 to parents, Socorro T. and Omar Gonzales. She graduated from Alamo Heights High School & attended Incarnate Word College in San Antonio. She married John Albertsen and they had 2 sons, Michael & David.
She is survived by her sons; sister, Marissa Castaneda; her niece Alana; nieces, Selena & Regina the daughters of her late older sister, Chicana Artist, Nivia Gonzalez.
She was an astute businesswoman with many interests. From a young age her passion was dancing. She was in a ballet company in her teens and a dance instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Center. Sandra was involved in the Lions Club, PTA, Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Council, Garden Club, and Historical Museum Committee. She hosted a cable TV show in Wisconsin. Sandra and her husband, John owned 3 small gift shops in TX and WI. She volunteered at many organizations throughout retirement.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, August 01, 2026 at Wrights Funeral Parlor.
Sandra will be buried in Fairfield, IA alongside her husband.
