“We figure out a way, didn’t we?” Warriors coach Tate DeMasco said. “It was a great start. We delivered the first couple of punches and they delivered some in the second half. We got into halftime and we had to control their quarterback. That quarterback is an amazing player. We got things settled down.”

Ingram scored 21 unanswered points in the second half after trailing 21-16 at intermission. Symm’s 40-yard touchdown run with 4:45 remaining extended the lead to 37-21 and put the game out of reach.

Orange Grove quarterback Linden Rodriguez threw three touchdown passes in a stunning second-quarter rally that erased a 16-0 deficit. Rodriguez connected with Daniel Martinez on scoring strikes of 66 and 50 yards, and hit Diego Serna for a 13-yarder as the Bulldogs took a 21-16 halftime lead.

But Ingram dominated the second half behind Symm and quarterback Logan Spalding, who rushed for 80 yards on eight carries and completed 16 of 23 passes for 126 yards and one touchdown.

“We really ran the ball well, which we hadn’t been able to do the last couple of weeks,” DeMasco said. “We are going to play some Thanksgiving football.”

Symm scored on runs of one, three, one and 40 yards. His first-half touchdowns helped Ingram build its early lead, which included a safety when an Orange Grove punt sailed out of the end zone.

Rodriguez finished 20-for-31 for 256 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Martinez caught five passes for 142 yards and two scores, while Brady Jenkins added six catches for 88 yards for the Bulldogs.

JJ Stewart led Ingram’s receivers with four catches for 43 yards.

The Warriors will face an Edna team that defeated Marion 38-14 on Friday to improve to 9-3. Edna lost to Orange Grove 34-21 in district play on Sept. 26.

The matchup will mark the first time Ingram has played in a Week 13 game since 2014, when Edna eliminated the Warriors from the playoffs with a 50-28 victory on Nov. 29, 2014.

DeMasco, who was 14-27 in his first four seasons at Ingram Tom Moore before 2025, has guided the Warriors to their deepest playoff run in more than a decade.
