Sheriff’s office investigating shooting death of woman in Kerrville

The shooting happened early Monday morning.

The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting death of a 36-year-old woman early Tuesday morning in Kerrville.

Sheriff’s deputies said they received a call at 1:48 a.m. of an injured woman in the 100 block of Corbin Circle in Kerrville. When deputies arrived they found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to Peterson Regional Medical Center, where she died at about 5 a.m.

Deputies said the investigation into this shooting is in its beginning stages. At present, there is no threat to the public related to this case.
Additional information will be released after the decedent’s family is
notified.
