The rundown for today's Kerrville Lighted Christmas Parade
What you need to know about today parade

IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE
After much waiting, the 20th Kerrville Lighted Christmas Parade is here. Kicking off at 6 p.m., the parade will make its way from G Street, along Water Street, hang a right on Earl Garrett before ending at the Kerr County Courthouse, where a magnificent KPUB-powered Christmas Tree will be lighted.
WHO IS LEADING THIS THING?
The Grand Marshall is none other than the great Clifton Fifer — a man for the ages. Fifer, of course, is seemingly everywhere in Kerrville, especially when it comes to the Doyle Community. A former school teacher, Fifer is a historian, singer, toymaker, washtub bass player and all-around community leader. So, we expect some big applause when Fifer goes riding by.
IF I WANT TO SKIP THE CROWDS?
Yup, you can watch it here with Jam Radio's Justin McClure and KPUB's Allison Bueche on the call: https://www.kerrville.live/
SOME PARADE FAST FACTS
- Santa Claus will be traveling with an escort from the Kerrville Fire Department. Quick pitch: Fire Chief Eric Maloney will be on The Lead Live on Monday to discuss how not to ruin your holiday by setting your turkey on fire.
- There's an entry called the Texas Two Ton Horses — really big horses large. Check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF95kUafEHw
- The longest entry — allegedly — is from KPUB at 60-feet. Maybe they're going to use a power pole of some kind.
- There are three tow truck companies in the parade, two banks and "Bliss Beauty Bar."
