An incredible array of events this week, especially on Saturday.
Kerr County offers a variety of events this week. The Doyle Community Center presents a film by Alyson Amestoy, Voices of Doyle, at 6 p.m. Monday. The film documents the history of the Doyle School and Community. Also on Monday, the Kerrville Elks Lodge hosts Veterans Yoga at 3 p.m.
Tuesday night, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame will host a talk, Football in Texas, at Schreiner University at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
On Wednesday, the Riverside Nature Center will host a talk, The Two Most Dangerous Volcanoes in North America, at 1 p.m. The Kerrville Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. at the GBNRC/UGRA Building.
The community can enjoy live music at several venues throughout the week. Cafe at the Ridge, Central Provisions, Gravity Check Saloon, and Trailhead Beer Garden all feature local and visiting musicians.
The Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library has events scheduled throughout the week, including book clubs, a movie chat, and a book sale. The library will host a History Story Time at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Residents can also participate in several support group meetings at Peterson Hospice & Home Care Building, and Peterson Health.
A Texas Gun & Knife Show will be held at the Hill Country Youth Event Center Saturday and Sunday.
