BREAKING NEWS: Storm bearing down on Comfort until 9 p.m.

Take shelter immediately if you are in or near Comfort, Center Point, Camp Verde or Cypress Creek.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southeastern Kerr County and northwestern Kendall County until 9 p.m.

At 8:03 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Center Point, 9 miles southwest of Comfort, moving northeast at 10 mph.

Take shelter immediately if you are in or near Comfort, Center Point, Camp Verde or Cypress Creek.

The storm is producing 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail, with potential for roof and siding damage, downed trees and vehicle damage from hail.

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Do not drive — torrential rainfall with this storm may cause flash flooding.

The Flood Watch for Kerr County remains in effect through Wednesday morning.
