Severe Thunderstorm Watch now in effect for Kerr County until 9 p.m.
Kerr County now faces a dual threat: severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail and damaging winds this afternoon and evening, followed by heavy rainfall overnight that forecasters warn could cause life-threatening flooding.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Kerr County, effective until 9 p.m. tonight — adding to the Flood Watch already in place through Wednesday morning.
The watch covers 24 Texas counties across the Hill Country and south Texas, including Kerr, Bandera, Edwards, Gillespie, Real and Kimble counties.
