Claud Jordan wins second term as Ingram mayor in close race

Jordan defeated Warren 75 to 70 — a margin of just five votes — with all precincts reporting. Jordan carried 51.72% of the total vote.

Claud B. Jordan Jr. held off challenger Bill Warren on Saturday night to win another two-year term as mayor of Ingram, according to unofficial results from Kerr County.

The race was tight throughout. Warren led in absentee ballots 2-0 and narrowly trailed in early voting, where Jordan edged him 43 to 42. Jordan pulled away on Election Day, winning that portion 32 to 26.

Turnout was light, with 145 of Ingram’s 1,014 registered voters casting ballots — a 14.30% participation rate.

Results are unofficial pending canvassing by the Kerr County Elections Office.
