Nicholas Miller: April 27, 1990-July 25, 2026

Nicholas John Keith Miller, 36, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on July 25, 2026. Nick was born on April 27, 1990, in Kerrville, where he was born, raised, and spent his life surrounded by the people and places he loved.

Nick is survived by his parents, Kevin and Mary Lou Miller; his brother, Nathan Miller and wife Tanya; his sisters, Kendra Miller and Brianna Miller; his cherished nieces and nephews, Kynlee Miller, Keithan Garcia, Aidynn Miller, Beckett Miller, and Lillian Fairchild; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny and Iva Jones, and Tom and Joanne Miller.

While Kerrville was always home, New Mexico became Nick’s home away from home. It was there that he spent countless days guiding hunts, embracing the outdoors, and developing a lifelong passion for working hounds. He discovered the breed that captured his heart—the Bavarian Mountain Hound—and dedicated himself to raising, training, and sharing these remarkable dogs with others. Today, his Bavarian Mountain Hounds can be found in homes across the United States, a lasting reminder of his knowledge, dedication, and love for the breed.

Nick’s greatest passion was sharing his love of the outdoors, hunting, and animals with everyone he met. Whether he was introducing someone to the woods, talking dogs, or simply enjoying time with friends, he had a gift for making people feel welcome. He never judged others. Instead, he met everyone with kindness, compassion, and an open heart.

Nick had an infectious sense of humor that could light up any room. He was the one who made people laugh, lifted spirits, and turned ordinary moments into unforgettable memories. If you were fortunate enough to call Nick a friend, you had a friend for life—and undoubtedly a story that still makes you smile. The impact he made on the lives of those around him cannot be measured, and his memory will continue to live on through the countless people, dogs, adventures, and stories he leaves behind. His perseverance was an inspiration to everyone.

Though his time with us was far too short, Nick’s legacy is one of loyalty, laughter, compassion, and a deep appreciation for God’s creation. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to New Century Hospice for the compassionate and attentive care they provided. A special thank you goes to his nurses, Candy and Hannah, whose kindness, comfort, and dedication meant so much to Nick and his family during his final days.

As we remember Nick, three little birds have become a symbol of hope and comfort for our family—a gentle reminder to hold onto faith, cherish one another, and trust that brighter days lie ahead. Whenever you see three birds together, we hope you’ll think of Nick, smile at a favorite memory, and carry his spirit with you.
