Charles dedicated his life to education, public service, and community leadership. He earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University and later completed his Doctorate of Education from Texas A&M University–Commerce.
She worked for and retired from the Texas Department of Transportation. She enjoyed collecting antiques and creating seasonal displays at her home.
He was generous with his skills, frequently offering his time and expertise to friends and family in need, and he also contributed his talents to Habitat for Humanity in Kerrville.
She will be remembered for her love of family, warmth, and kindness. Geri has now been reunited with her beloved husband, Arvil, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mildred married John Harold Lynch on May 19, 1951, in Ingram, Texas. They raised three sons, Harold Ray Lynch, David Eugene Lynch and Richard Michael Lynch. All her sons were members of the Ingram Fire Department.
