Charles dedicated his life to education, public service, and community leadership. He earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University and later completed his Doctorate of Education from Texas A&M University–Commerce.
Charles Mark Hueber, 48, passed away on June 8, 2026. Born on November 29, 1977, in Amarillo, Texas, Charles was the beloved son of Joyce Chesnutwood Hueber Berry and Lawrence Lee Hueber.
Charles dedicated his life to education, public service, and community leadership. He earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University and later completed his Doctorate of Education from Texas A&M University–Commerce. Throughout his career, he was passionate about helping communities grow and thrive, serving as Director of Economic Development for the City of Santa Fe, Texas. He was also an active member of the Kiwanis International, where he worked to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce Chestnutwood Hueber Berry and Lawrence Lee Hueber, as well as his grandparents.
Survivors include his beloved son, Jude Hueber; his stepfather, Nathan O’Neal Berry; his brothers, Eric Hueber and Jason Hueber; his sisters, Katy Stell and Bettina Huth-Hueber; and numerous extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A funeral service celebrating Charles’s life will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapels on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with Jude Hueber officiating.
Charles will be remembered for his dedication to education, his commitment to public service, his service to his community, and most of all, his love for his son, Jude.
