Tollie was a generous man who always looked after his family and friends and never hesitated to help someone in need, even if they were a stranger. He was known for being hardheaded, a little stubborn, and just enough of a rascal to keep life interesting. He had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and had a passion for collecting just about anything that caught his interest. One of his favorite collections was movies, and over the years he amassed thousands of DVDs. Tollie also enjoyed cars, trucks, motorcycles, and spending time on the water as a boat captain. He appreciated unique finds and was always on the lookout for something interesting to add to his collection.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Marie Bond Brewer; his father, William L. Courtney; his brother, Terry Wools; and his daughter, Jessica Courtney.

Tollie is survived by his children, Tollie “Bo” Harris Courtney Jr., Tasha Elizabeth Courtney, and William “Billy” Woodrow Courtney; his brother, Thomas Wools; his sister, Dana Lockhart; his bonus son, Robert “Bobby” Sanders; and several grandchildren.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date, and interment will take place at Junction City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to assist with funeral expenses through the donation tab at www.wrightsfuneralparlor.net.
