Kerr County gas prices jump to $4.15 overnight
AAA’s statewide average hit $3.98 per gallon Tuesday, up from $3.93 Monday and a sharp 26-cent jump from just one week ago, when the state average stood at $3.72.
Gas prices in Kerr County surged to an average of $4.15 per gallon for regular unleaded Tuesday — up from $3.97 reported Monday — as a rapid statewide price spike continues to hit drivers at the pump.
Texas is not far behind. AAA’s statewide average hit $3.98 per gallon Tuesday, up from $3.93 Monday and a sharp 26-cent jump from just one week ago, when the state average stood at $3.72. GasBuddy puts the Texas average at $3.99.
The climb is even more jarring year-over-year. A gallon of regular in Texas averaged $2.74 this time last year — meaning drivers are now paying roughly $1.24 more per gallon than they were 12 months ago.
Mid-grade is averaging $4.44 statewide, premium $4.81, and diesel $5.09, according to AAA.
