“Our Pops Concert features the great orchestral music that has accompanied some of the most popular films of our time,” Symphony Conductor Eugene Dowdy said. “They have proven to be worthy as stand-alone concert works in the same way that opera and incidental music might remain more popular than the play or opera ever were. You will see titles on this concert by some of music history’s finest composers, including John Williams, whose complete orchestral suite from Star Wars we will perform.”
