Rose Gonzales named principal of Hal Peterson Middle School

Gonzales has held several roles in Kerrville ISD over her career, including teacher, counselor and administrator. A Tivy High School graduate, she earned a master’s in guidance and school counseling from Angelo State University in 2015 and a master’s in educational leadership from the same university in 2023.

Kerrville ISD has named Rose Gonzales principal of Hal Peterson Middle School. She has worked in the district for 23 years and currently serves as the campus’s associate principal.

Gonzales has held several roles in Kerrville ISD over her career, including teacher, counselor and administrator. A Tivy High School graduate, she earned a master’s in guidance and school counseling from Angelo State University in 2015 and a master’s in educational leadership from the same university in 2023.

Superintendent Brent Ringo said Gonzales has served the district with distinction throughout her career. “Ms. Gonzales is deeply dedicated to supporting students, empowering faculty, and partnering with parents, and we are excited to see her lead Hal Peterson Middle School in this role,” he said.

Gonzales said she was honored to lead the campus in the district where she was once a student. “I look forward to working closely with our students, staff, families, and community partners to build on the strong traditions of excellence that define our campus,” she said.
