Arcadia Live marks 100 years with a full summer of music, films and bingo
On Friday, June 5, Hunter Hicks & the West Bound Hearts take the stage from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Hicks has landed several song placements on the “Landman” soundtrack and recently passed 100,000 monthly Spotify listeners.
The Arcadia Live is celebrating its 100th year, and the historic downtown Kerrville venue is marking the milestone with a busy summer calendar that runs from touring musicians to classic-movie nights and a Poe-themed speakeasy.
The June lineup leans heavily on live music. On Friday, June 5, Hunter Hicks & the West Bound Hearts take the stage from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Hicks has landed several song placements on the “Landman” soundtrack and recently passed 100,000 monthly Spotify listeners, while the West Bound Hearts are preparing to release a debut single, “Texas Does,” produced by Trent Willmon, a frequent collaborator of Cody Johnson. Two weeks later, on Saturday, June 20, Texas artist Austin Meade brings his red-dirt-meets-grunge sound to the venue from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
The Arcadia’s free Live Music On Deck series continues on its outdoor deck, with the Travis Pierce Band playing Friday, June 19, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. The Friday-evening series, sponsored by JAM Broadcasting, features local artists along with happy-hour pricing on beer, wine and margaritas.
Film fans have their own draw in the 2026 Iconic Film Series, which pairs classic movies with themed drinks and activities. June’s selection is “The Maltese Falcon” on Wednesday, June 3, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., with a 1940s costume contest before the screening. The series rolls on through the summer with “Dirty Dancing” on July 1, “Dead Poets Society” on Aug. 5, a kid-friendly showing of “Hook” on Aug. 8 and “Ocean’s Eleven” on Sept. 2.
The venue is also building out a roster of recurring social nights. Its T4 trivia competition returns Thursday, June 18, at 5:45 p.m., and “Not Your Granny’s Bingo” — a high-energy, DJ-driven take on bingo the Arcadia is using to mark its centennial — plays Thursday, June 25, from 6 to 9 p.m., with additional dates set monthly through September.
A pair of one-off events round out June. On Wednesday, June 10, the Arcadia hosts an Artist Night Mix & Mingle from 6 to 8 p.m. in partnership with the Generation NEXT Education Initiative, inviting local artists of all kinds to learn about paid opportunities in arts education. And on Saturday, June 27, the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy offers a darker turn, with historians retelling four of Poe’s stories alongside a four-part cocktail experience across shows at 2, 4, 6 and 8 p.m.
Looking ahead, the venue has slated singer-songwriter Chris Knight for Aug. 14 and is promoting Kerrville’s Fourth on the River for July 4, with details still to come.
The Arcadia Live is at 717 Water St. in downtown Kerrville. Tickets and a full schedule are available at thearcadialive.org or by calling 830-315-5483.
