Meet the businesses behind our free August shoutout

All month, The Lead Live has been giving Kerr County businesses a free shoutout on air — no cost, no catch. More than 60 signed up. Here they are, grouped by category, so you can shop local with a fuller picture of who showed up for their community this month.

A number of these businesses — including Hill Country Vision Center and Texas State Optical, both on West Water Street — operate in the stretch of downtown hit hardest by the July 16 flooding.
