Jeff was raised in San Antonio, Texas, the eldest of three siblings. He attended high school at Texas Military Institute, where he developed the greatest of friendships, ones that lasted throughout his lifetime. Those friendships prompted his move to Austin, where his next stage of life began, filled with friends and music.

In his early 20’s, the band LARRY formed with Jeff and his best friends. Jeff was the lead singer and storyteller, he played the washboard and had a larger than life personality. The band was beloved in the Austin music scene and traveled throughout Texas and around the United States for the next two decades. During this time, Jeff met and married Faith, and they had two beloved children, Maddy and Keller, who were raised in Austin until the family moved to Ingram, Texas in 2010.

Jeff loved being in the Texas Hill Country with his family, and he enjoyed being in nature, fishing, swimming, motorsports, cooking for those whom he loved, telling campfire stories, and as always, making music with his Hill Country musicians. He made cherished memories and friendships here.

Jeff was a father, a husband, a friend, a performer, and a brother, a lion and a force of nature. He brought people together and he could fill a room with tears and laughter, and in fact, did so to the very end. People loved being in his orbit, where a big Jeff hug was mandatory big soul medicine.

He will be so greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elda Katherine Bradberry and Joseph Floyd Bradberry; his sister, Jean Elizabeth Bradberry; and his uncle, James Bruce Gaspard.

Survivors include his family, Madeline, Keller, and Faith Bradberry; brother, Michael Bradberry and Mark Hartman; brother, Bradley and Chelsea Bradberry; his niece, Novella and nephew Anders; his uncle and aunts, Camile Gaspard and Mae Gaspard, Eric and Carol Gaspard; and his cousins, John Gaspard, Mary Gaspard Roberts, Sam Gaspard, Sarah Gaspard-Bernard, Dean Gaspard and Audrey Gaspard; as well as all of his sisters and brothers of other mothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, in a way that can fully reflect Jeff’s spirit, and to honor his big beautiful life.
