Photo gallery: Kerrville ISD is Home To Me performance

Initially, the performance was in accordance with KISD Trustee Rolinda Schmidt’s presidency of the TASB and was aimed at celebrating the Guadalupe River, but that was before July 4. Instead, the school’s vocal, music and dance programs shifted to produce a very different presentation — this one honoring the community resilience in the wake of the July 4 tragedy.

The students of Kerrville Independent School District performed their memorable dance, music and rhythmic routine that they gave last year to the Texas Association of School Boards. Initially, the performance was in accordance with KISD Trustee Rolinda Schmidt’s presidency of the TASB and was aimed at celebrating the Guadalupe River, but that was before July 4. Instead, the school’s vocal, music and dance programs shifted to produce a very different presentation — this one honoring the community resilience in the wake of the July 4 tragedy. On May 11, the students from across KISD performed at Hal Peterson Middle School to an audience that featured elected officials, community leaders, friends and family.
