Photo gallery: Steep Canyon Rangers shine in Kerrville Folk Festival debut

The North Carolina bluegrass band won a 2013 Grammy for "Nobody Knows You" featuring Steve Martin. Founded in 2000, the six-piece group has released 14 albums including "Morning Shift" (2023). They've collaborated extensively with Martin and toured with Edie Brickell. The band recorded their 2024 album "Longview" at the Bat Cave studio in North Carolina with producer Darrell Scott. Members include Graham Sharp (banjo), Mike Guggino (mandolin), Nicky Sanders (fiddle), Barrett Smith (bass), Mike Ashworth (drums) and Woody Platt (guitar, vocals). They blend traditional bluegrass with contemporary songwriting, earning critical acclaim from NPR and Billboard. The Rangers regularly headline major festivals across North America.
