Trailhead Beer Garden’s first-ever Salsa Fest drew 16 Makers and 28 salsas Saturday, with Tasters crowning winners in Red and Green categories.

In Red salsa, Central Provisions of Center Point took first place, followed by Rancho Arreola of Center Point in second and Vecinos in third.

In Green salsa, Tailchasers Patio Pub took first, with NAPA taking second and Vecinos rounding out third.

The event, modeled after Trailhead’s winter Pot O’ Hot Fest soup cook-off, ran from 5 to 10 p.m. and benefited the Doyle Community Center, supporting residents impacted by this year’s flooding. The evening also featured live music from Bovine Sounds and the Travis Pierce Band, along with block printing demonstrations from Schreiner University’s Graphic Design/Communications Department.
