We're looking for veterans to share their stories with other veterans on The Lead Live

In The Lead's Salute To Our Heroes Week, we turn the show over to veterans to talk with other veterans about serving our nation.

Starting Nov. 7, The Lead Live will dedicate the week of Veterans Day to a series on veterans affairs and interviews, including veterans interviewing veterans.

The show's first day offers the range of services available to veterans and the important work these groups do. You can expect Together With Hill Country Veterans, Veterans Yoga Projects, Kerr County Veterans Advisory Committee, MHDD, The Dietert Center and others that assist veterans.

The week's programming is sponsored by Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing, with support from Pint and Plow, Schreiner University, Brinkman Commercial Properties, Schreiner University and the Museum of Western Art.

Our big emphasis will be veterans interview veterans. Normally, Louis Amestoy hosts the show, but this week he's turning it over to several others, including Jeff Harris (USMC), Toby Appleton (US Army), Jennyth Peterson (US Army) and others.

  • We're also looking for those who may want to participate as interviewers or interviewees.
  • We're prepared to have three-hour shows that week.
  • Each interview will be about 30 minutes.
  • The show starts at 9 a.m. at Pint and Plow.

If you're interested in participating, please get in touch with Louis Amestoy at louis.amestoy@kerrcountylead.com
