Everett Eugene Alexander Jr.: Dec. 5, 1963-Sept. 1, 2026

Everett Eugene Alexander Jr., age 62, passed from this life peacefully at his home in Kerrville, Texas, surrounded by his children, on September 1, 2026. Born on December 5, 1963, in San Antonio, Texas, to Everett Eugene Alexander Sr. and Evelyn Joyce Schneemann, Everett lived a life defined by his faith, his service to others, and an unwavering devotion to his family.

Everett dedicated 20 years of his life to protecting his community as a peace officer, which included time bravely serving in the narcotics division. Alongside his career in law enforcement, he was an incredibly skilled and passionate carpenter. He loved working with his hands and poured his heart into building beautiful, lasting things.

A devoted follower of Christ, Everett’s faith guided his steps and shaped the loving family man he was. He was famously gifted with music; he could pick up any instrument he put his hands on and play it beautifully, often filling the room with his singing. A natural gatherer of people, Everett loved to cook as a way to bring his large family together under one roof. Of all the titles he held, his favorite was being a grandfather, and his greatest joys were found simply playing with his grandchildren.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Eugene Alexander Sr. and Evelyn Joyce Schneemann, as well as his grandparents John Everett “Red” Alexander, Roxy Lee McGrew, John William Schneemann, and Virginia Catherine Walters.

His legacy of faith, music, and love lives on in the family he adored. He is survived by his two siblings, six children, and nineteen grandchildren (with another beautiful blessing on the way). He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Cathy and husband Jimmy Burns, and Holly and husband Bradley Walker; as well as his children: Brien Alexander and wife Camber (Kirstin, Taylor, and Gunner); Chase Alexander and wife Angela (Tenley, Kate, Everlee, Johnny, and Little Joe); Kenton and fiancée Ashley (Emily, Kayleigh, and Wyatt); LeeAnn and husband Josiah (Noah, Margaret, Jack, and Silas); Cody Alexander and wife Gabrielle (Sage, and a baby on the way); and Jenelle and husband Steven (Blaine, Parker, and Collin).

A graveside service honoring Everett’s life will be held at Nichols Cemetery in Kerrville, Texas, on Saturday, September 5th, at 10:00 a.m. Following the service, the family invites all who knew and loved him to gather for a Celebration of Life at the Mountain Home Fire Department to share food, music, and memories of a man who meant so much to so many.
