Jeanine Marie Griffith: Jan. 4, 1943-Aug. 30, 2026
She was an underground miner at a time when women made up only a tiny percentage of the mining workforce. She did work most people could never imagine, facing challenges that demanded courage, endurance, and determination. She did it because her children needed her, and she never stopped showing up for them.
Our mom was strong her entire life.
She raised 10 children on her own, carrying responsibilities that would have overwhelmed most people. For 83 years, she fought, survived, loved, and put everyone else before herself. Her life was defined by resilience-not because it was easy, but because she refused to give up on the people who depended on her.

One woman built all of this:
10 children.
24 grandchildren.
22 great-grandchildren.
1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn Gross and grandson, Brayden Jasmann; and leaves behind nine children to cherish her memory: Larry (Tammy) Jaudon of Spearfish, SD; Lee (Kenny) Guthridge of Senatobia, MS; Lori (Joe) Dunn of Silver Peak, NV; Clint (Leann) Griffith of Broken Arrow, OK; Christa Griffith (Sean Reed) of Silver Peak, NV; Kilah Griffith of Williston, ND; Colleen (Jesus) Segura of Harlowton, MT; Kelly (Vincent) Scoccia of Kerrville, TX; and Karen Griffith of St. Augustine, FL.
Mom, thank you for fighting for as long as you did. Thank you for the love you gave us, the sacrifices you made, and the life you built through your strength and determination. Everything you endured made a difference.
The family you created is your lasting legacy, and we will carry your love, your lessons, and your memory forward.
Now it’s our turn to be strong for you.
We will keep your memory alive—not only by remembering you, but by living with the strength, courage, and love you showed us every day.
Momma, you will be loved and missed forever!
